Salford Conservatives were delighted to welcome the Shadow Secretary of State for Transport Theresa Villiers MP to Salford on Monday 14th January.
The Shadow Minister took in a Metrolink journey from Salford Quays to Eccles, met with ward Councillors Beryl Howard and Robin Garrido along with local residents in Boothstown to discuss bus services, and visited Walkden railway station with Councillors Iain Lindley and Les Turner to discuss train overcrowding at peak periods.
Salford Conservatives are grateful to Theresa Villiers for taking the time to discuss the issues that affect rail and bus users across Salford and look forward to seeing future Conservative policy proposals that will help improve public transport in Salford and across Greater Manchester.
