North-West Conservative MEP Sajjad Karim dropped into Eccles town centre today to campaign with local candidates Judith Tope (Eccles, Monton and Ellesmere Park) and Abdul Mannan (Barton, Peel Green and Patricroft) along with local activists including Eccles Councillor Ann Davies.
Shoppers and traders from across Eccles expressed their anger at Labour’s neglect of the area and Gordon Brown’s abolition of the 10p tax rate, causing thousands of families in Eccles to pay more tax from this month.

Conservative Party leader David Cameron visited Salford on Monday afternoon to lend his support to Conservative candidates across the City.
David discussed local issues in Salford with candidates and Councillors at the Town Hall in Swinton before visiting Salford City Radio and talking to the Advertiser.
Salford Conservatives are delighted with the support that David has shown to local residents in Salford, in marked contrast to a Labour Party that - both locally and nationally - has ignored Salford people. On 1st May, local residents should send a message to a Labour Party that is closing down maternity services at Salford Royal (Hope) Hospital and raising taxes on hard-working Salford families on low incomes.

Shneur Odze and his Conservative campaign team for Kersal & Broughton Park were joined yesterday by Shadow Cabinet Minister and former Conservative Party Chairman Francis Maude. Shneur, Francis and the team had an excellent response on the doorsteps.
Local residents in Kersal and Broughton Park have been let down badly by the Labour Party, and many former Labour voters will be switching on 1st May to Shneur Odze and Kersal Conservatives. It’s time for a change in Kersal and Broughton Park!

Local Conservatives were delighted to welcome Shadow Health Secretary Andrew Lansley to Salford on Wednesday. Andrew joined Conservative candidate and local campaigner for Eccles, Judith Tope, to talk to residents in Ellesmere Park before a visit to Salford Royal (Hope) Hospital where Labour are closing down the vital maternity unit.
